The purpose of this review is to give you a fair assessment of be2 Australia. We want users to be able to make an informed decision before they subscribe to a membership. We conducted a test and present you with the results.
First we created 2 profiles on the site: One female and one male. We explored the free features available to non premium users and we had fun answering the questions of the personality test. Then we purchased a premium membership in order to test all the features available to paying users. The contact test was quite successful.
When searching for "be2 experiences" on Google we came across both negative and positive user reviews. We took all results into account for the purpose of our review.
2.1 be2 - First Impression
We were quite pleased with be2 right from the beginning. The site is elegantly designed and has a contemporary feel. It’s also very easy to navigate through the personal profile. Be2 appeals to fun people and busy professionals who know what they want. The classy design of the site is in line with this level of refinement.

We did not manage to find out how much be2 costs in Australia before we registered a profile on the site. The cost of be2 is hidden, as it is the case for most other dating sites. There is no reference to cost whatsoever in the General Terms and Conditions either. This is standard practice in the industry but we find this is the first drawback for be2. In order to analyse the site, we conducted a contact test which revealed that it is very easy to get in touch with other users on be2. The more active users are, the more likely they are to make a meaningful encounter. Be2 users are active and enthusiastic, which makes it a very dynamic meeting platform. The test takes roughly 15 minutes to complete. be2 is a serious site that ensures singles are matched only if they are compatible. There are a few more fun questions to answer after the profile has been completed. be2 is clearly different from other sites. It’s easy to navigate through the profile pages and click from one section to another. be2 keeps it simple. The steps to complete the profile are easy to follow and answers can be given by a simple click. Very good!

Once the questionnaire has been completed, users receive a list of potential partners on their personal homepage. Our list of potential partners was quite long. Users are matched based on their compatibility, which is determined by the personality test and the be2 index. The be2 index is a sophisticated computer algorithm that indicates how compatible two people are.
You can organise your list of partners as you wish, save your favourite profiles in a special folder and change your search criteria at any time.

Step 4
Users can contact potential partners as soon as they receive their list of matches. Better results are achieved when members remain active and answer their messages. Messaging is the only way to get in touch with other users at be2. The messaging system is basic but reliable. Users can also consult the history of all messages exchanged with the one person. be2 provides an adequate means of communication to its users which is in keeping with the site’s sober design.
3.2 Quality of the Profiles on be2
There are very few fake profiles on be2. Registrations seemed to be monitored in order to avoid the presence of dishonest people on the site. be2 users can expect to have a genuine experience. Unfortunately, there is no way to verify your own profile (other dating sites provide voice, video or ID profile verification). We recommend that be2 adds a verification feature in the future.
Some profiles didn’t include a photo. The photo is the most important element of the personal profile and users are encouraged to add one to their page. It’s easily understandable; users are more likely to get in touch with someone if they know what they look like.
- Complete your profile. The more details you give about yourself, the more chances you have of getting in touch with other users. People want to get to know you – And you want to get to know them. Your personal facts are your visiting card. Sharing about yourself is the only way you can really start an exchange.
- Upload your nicest photos. Don’t be shy! Choose a photo of you that you like and be proud of it. Other users want to see what you look like – And it’s only fair. Note you will only be able to see other users’ photos if you upload one yourself.

It is quite difficult to get in touch with be2’s customer service. We could not find any contact details on our profile. The contact information for customer service is available at the bottom of the page of the main contact section where a link to an email is provided. There is contact information in the General Terms and Conditions but it’s not immediately obvious where to find it. There is no phone number available.
Our email inquiry to customer service received a relatively quick reply but we still think be2 could improve customer service contact details. It was difficult to find information about customer service.

4.2 Membership Termination at be2
Terminating the membership on be2 is not easy. It seems to be common practice in the online dating industry to renew memberships automatically unless a cancellation request is sent within a specific notice period. be2 is no exception. Unfortunate!
You will have to write a letter or send a fax in order to terminate your contract. It’s not possible to cancel the membership online.
